Abstract:
Based on the principles of Integrated Water Resource Management (IWRM) and Integrated Urban Water Management (IUWM), the project was implemented in two Indian cities, Solapur in Maharashtra, and Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh, and their surrounding catchments. These areas face issues related to droughts, floods and water conflicts. This comprehensive report provides information on project methodology, planning, outputs, outcomes and implementation activities. Tools such as the IAdapt Framework Toolkit and the Training Manual on the Catchment Management Planning process were developed. Training and capacity building of local stakeholders and government officials was provided. Links are embedded to over 40 annex documents.
