Abstract
This three-minute video traces the story of Hellen from the context of a child survivor of male domestic violence, early sexual behaviour, pregnancy and childbirth, and the efforts of her mother to encourage Hellen’s participation in the community and increase her perception of women’s rights, and the right to education. Hellen eventually enrolls in college and perseveres. She now advocates for change in the pursuit of girls and women’s rights. The photos provide a beautiful reminder of resilience.
