Abstract
The four-minute video documents Tumisfu’s story. In her own words, she recalls how during her first pregnancy she moved away from her village to find work. As her husband worked in a different part of the country, his visiting schedule missed the actual birth date, and Tumisfu had to birth her child alone in poor conditions. There were three women to one bed in the maternity ward. Her story changes when she is cared for by two overseas interns linked to the Mama Toto project.
