Design scoping study for the capacity strengthening component of the CLARE programme : final report

Abstract

The analysis identifies a range of needs against which any capacity strengthening initiatives should be referenced. The study contributes elements of the design of the Climate and Resilience (CLARE) framework. It equips CLARE with what is needed in order to address persistent challenges that confront initiatives aimed at strengthening capacity for climate change research. Additionally, emphasis has been placed on innovative approaches for long-lasting impactful processes and outcomes in the shifting terrain of the 2020s. Climate researchers need to enhance skills related to partnership building, policy engagement, and design thinking.
