Abstract
A Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) evaluation tool was initially used to evaluate each of the participating Latin American Initiative for Public Policy Research (ILAIPP) research centers, which enabled the project to carry out six case studies. These included characteristics of: diversity; strategic planning and intervention; impact; and cooperation mechanisms. This paper reports on activities developed in the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) module. Capacity building modules served to provide relevant literature, theoretical documents that explain the main contents with more detail, as well as useful tools to strengthen the organizations. A mentoring process was included along with the virtual training module.
