Abstract:
A peace agreement was signed with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia—People's Army (Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia, FARC) in 2016, with many young people affected by past conflicts. The Jovenes Activos/Active Youth project aimed to address gaps in services and service organizations for youth, engaging youth in the peacebuilding process. The program offered vocational orientation, information regarding citizen participation, capacity building for leadership skills and a computer application that facilitated access to information about employment, education and entrepreneurial opportunities.
