Abstract

The workshop key note address (2017) focused on the future of communities such as Battambang (Cambodia) which straddle the line between urban and rural; the urbanization process was analyzed in terms of the impacts on residents’ livelihoods, while reshaping urban poverty and vulnerability. Other Urban Climate Resilience in Southeast Asia Partnership (UCRSEA) events and conference panels are covered in this newsletter edition, as well as training workshops and a feature article about Myanmar. The newsletter provides updates on activities of UCRSEA scholars, research, conferences and notable publications.
