Abstract
The analysis of recurring and strategically relevant lessons and findings across IDRC’s program-led evaluations helps guide planning beyond 2020. This review includes 23 significant evaluations commissioned by IDRC programs (including externally funded programs), and completed during the 2015-2020 period. It focuses on eight overarching areas of interest: achieving impact at scale; building leaders; being the partner of choice; integrating gender and equity considerations into programming; designing programs for collaboration, learning, and synthesis; building flexibility into IDRC programs through funding mechanisms; supporting knowledge translation and policy/practice influence, and; knowledge management.
