Abstract

This research maps the terrain of knowledge production in the field of gender and digital technology over the last decade (since 2006). It surfaced recent trends, gaps, emerging areas and critical questions in the field to inform a future research agenda. A key finding is that research initiatives framed around feminist methodology go beyond gender-disaggregated data to centre on a larger politics of change, including power dynamics in terms of race, class, and other intersectional factors. The project prioritised research work in middle and low-income countries with a ‘global South’ perspective. The report provides project milestones and key findings.
