Abstract
The presentation at the International Union of Nutritional Sciences conference (Brazil, 2017) covers the Enhanced Homestead Food Production (EHFP) program in Cambodia which fosters year-round production of nutrient-rich fruits, vegetables, and animal-source foods. It focuses on the role of small-scale aquaculture in improving household nutrition and food security. Sales from added productivity increased household income. Across all groups, this additional income after consumption was used to buy micronutrient-rich animal-source foods such as beef, pork, chicken and fish.
