Abstract

Climate change hotspots host large numbers of vulnerable people. The primary reason people in hotspots decide to migrate is due to aspirations of better livelihoods. Environmental degradation and extreme weather events contribute to decision making, as well as perceptions of inequality. Human mobility can also be considered as an adaptation strategy that indicates resilience. The one-page poster presents trends in migration, along with effective strategies for support services.
