Abstract:
The MICROVEG project synergises innovations from two completed projects, Nigeria-Canada Indigenous Vegetables Project (NiCanVeg) and the Integrated Nutrient and Water Management in the Sahel (INuWaM). The MICROVEG project helped to bridge vegetable production and consumers’ preferences, targeting four traditional vegetables. Being able to process and increase the shelf life of vegetables is crucial for adding value and preserving nutrients. This annex reviews activities and outputs of the project in terms of markets and marketing by farmers. It includes numerous data tables such as “Budgetary Analysis of Selected Underused Indigenous Vegetables (UIVs Per) Production Season.”
