Abstract
The Arab Council for the Social Sciences (ACSS) lead a regional reflection on the adaptability to the local context of the Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans (TCPS-2). The aim is to strengthen the capacity of research ethics in the MENA/Arab region. Recommendations include organizing a series of panel discussions, roundtables, workshops and trainings with partner organizations regarding the topic. This strategy would serve to expand ACSS’s reach with increased access to different audiences, and greater engagement from scholars connected to different institutions, as well as a broader array of social science research interests.
