Abstract
Bangladesh is among the most vulnerable countries to climate change as two-thirds of its land area is prone to flooding, and its coastlines are exposed to storm surges and tidal floods. The government has established climate change cells in each ministry to incentivize climate mainstreaming across sectors and policies. Many initiatives have been implemented to prepare for climate change impacts. As well, climate risks are integrated into national development plans. Climate change remains to be mainstreamed into sectors related to forestry, fisheries, health, and gender. This report is one of a series prepared for the Collaborative Adaptation Research Initiative in Africa and Asia (CARIAA).
