Abstract
Report on the AGRIS programme, its efforts to strengthen national agricultural information capabilities in developing countries, and role of IDRC, particularly in terms of providing financial aid. Discusses role of regional information centres (e.g. IICA-CIDIA in Latin America), IDRC involvement in regional activities, i.e. the development of AGRIS-AGRINTER in Latin America and the creation of AIBA (Agricultural Informational Bank for Asia) in the Philippines; evaluates the effectiveness of the AGRIS Level Two programme.
