Abstract

This guide is intended for those who wish to utilize scenarios and data from the ELADA 21 (Electronic Atlas for Agenda 21) in the Windows environment. The purpose of this guide is to provide the technical knowledge and incentive for our partners, and others who wish to utilize ELADA 21 and its content, to use the latest multimedia technologies in the Windows environment, CD-ROM applications, and in the realm of the Internet. There is a never-ending development of multimedia applications and software each with its own unique and special functions. We have chosen to use the newest LMSOFT software, HyperPage 1.1, for the purpose of this guide because of its flexibility and user friendly procedures. HyperPage uses a simple conversion process to produce a relatively basic but effective Windows version of the ELADA Scenarios which can be easily manipulated for distribution via CD-ROM or the Internet. This guide will provide easy step-by-step instructions on how to install and use the software effectively and easily without the need for further training. For those requiring a more sophisticated conversion there are many other available software packages, including Folio Views, which can produce a more elaborate representation of the ELADA Scenarios, however such software packages may require more extensive knowledge and training for the software to be used to its fullest extent...
