Abstract
This action-research project sought to identify institutional models, issues, and processes from Canada, Brazil and beyond that are applicable and useful in addressing the need for collaborative governance and coordinated action in metropolitan areas of Mexico. The project focused in particular on the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area (GMA) and the Colima Metropolitan Area (CMA) but the final research products were designed to be useful to metropolitan areas around the country.
