This document provides supplementary background detail for the paper ‘Building leaders in research for development: literature review’. Extensive information is provided in three tables: a table reviewing organizations that run leadership programmes (internally or externally) within a development context outside the research for development (R4D) environment; a table reviewing a wide range of leadership programmes globally that are operating in R4D; and a summary of organizations working in R4D leadership.
