Abstract
In this article, the author outlines the history of the feminist movement in Haiti in order to get a feeling for its nature, its strength and its roots. She also describes the obstacles that the movement has had to deal with since the earthquake of January 2010, and particularly the undermining effects of the exaggerated negative stereotype imported by aid organisations.
