Abstract

Findings reveal that the introduction of information and communication technologies (ICT) like Internet, in schools is associated with no or positive impacts on performance, measured as a percentage of students achieving a satisfactory level of educational attainment (level 2). Access to high speed Internet does not seem to have a significant effect on educational performance measured as the percentage of students that achieves a satisfactory level of knowledge. Some results may be due to deficiency in teacher training or a reduction in the role of teachers due to expectations about the role of technology in education.
