Abstract

Adaptation at Scale in Semi-Arid Regions (ASSAR) works to deepen understanding of climate vulnerability and adaptation in semi-arid regions, and to help transform current adaptation practices towards proactive, widespread climate change adaptation embedded in development activities at governance levels, as well as advancing adaptive livelihoods for vulnerable groups. This paper reports on workshop activities towards development of a (successful) proposal of research funded by the Collaborative Adaptation Research Initiative in Africa and Asia (CARIAA).
