Abstract

This risk assessment provides baseline information for study sites useful for future risk assessment and adaptation options. The tool allowed identification of risk values, and discussion of projected climate change, likely impacts, and characterized risks. Frequent droughts and salt water intrusion are extreme risks. Rainfall trend for the sites was analyzed using meteorological data from Kenya Meteorological weather stations in Kilgoris and Galole in the Tana delta.
