Abstract

The ACCFP supported 43 fellows; 20 in science, 17 in policy, and 6 teaching fellows dedicated to four thematic areas in research and policy development: Food Security, Health, Ecosystem Management and Disaster Risk Reduction. Water Resources Management was a cross cutting theme within all thematic areas. Fellows also suggested institutional changes in support of these themes. Devolution and transition to institutional ownership and management of the ACCFP within Africa is of paramount importance to all program partners and stakeholders. The African change fellowship program is a knowledge hub for climate change adaptation science in Africa.
