Abstract:
This monograph / book is divided into three parts: Democratization and Governance Issues; Social and Economic Governance Challenges; Security and Human Security Issues. This collection of policy briefs by doctoral students illustrates the importance of deepening democracy by making it more inclusive, the need for Africa to enhance socio-economic governance so as to attain security, and the necessity of adequately addressing issues of marginalization and human security in a sustainable way. Contributors’ articles provide a pointer to more exhaustive research which may be helpful to policy makers.
