Proceedings and various activities undertaken during the international conference on “Beyond Rio + 20 : Emerging Challenges and Opportunities” in Ghana, University of Ghana, Legon, 20-22 November 2013
Abstract
The conference provided an opportunity for think tanks to congregate and share views on post-Rio+20, to deepen their understanding of the challenges and opportunities ahead and to lay the foundations of a collective reflection on ways to implement Rio+20 outcomes within Africa. The report provides an outline and review of presentations and panel discussion activities which took place during the three day conference. Appendices provide Concept Notes and Participant Lists, as well as conference highlights, abstracts, and the Chairman’s closing remarks. The United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development is known as Rio 2012, Rio+20, or Earth Summit 2012.
