Abstract
The disease now occurs only in Africa, having been eradicated from the rest of the world, and affects only cattle, mostly in pastoral communities with 24 million people who depend entirely on livestock. The presentation describes Contagious Bovine Pleuropneumonia (CBPP) along with new efforts to eradicate it through various strategies, including possible media campaigns.
