The Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM) is a Network of 128 universities from 38 African countries. The 2012 RUFORUM Biennial Conference focused on young researchers, and in providing avenues for strengthening communication and publication along with awareness of trends on the African continent. It provided opportunities to seasoned scientists to mentor and guide the younger scientists through discussions and deliberations. It was also an opportunity to create linkages between the diversity of stakeholders in agriculture.
