Abstract:
The Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM) implemented regional student exchange programmes in plant breeding and biotechnology, dry land management and agricultural economics at the Makerere University, University of Nairobi, Bunda College of Agriculture (University of Malawi) and Egerton University (Kenya). In partial fulfillment for the award of PhD, each student was required to develop and publish at least 2 journal articles. To facilitate the students to meet this requirement, RUFORUM provided a regional write-shop in Journal publishing.
