Abstract
What tools do local governments need in order to plan public investments in climate change adaptation? Freddy Picado of the Water Centre for the Humid Tropics of Latin America and the Caribbean (CATHALAC) explains how his research team is assessing present and future water stress in four municipalities located in the watersheds of the Samalá River in Guatemala and South Yaque River in the Dominican Republic, using a combined climate and geospatial approach.
