Within the context of climate change, how important is to differentiate perceptions of risk from measured or anticipated risk that stems from research? Daniel Conde of the Universidad de la República in Uruguay explains the importance of considering different approaches to risk when it comes to informing decision making and formulating adaptation strategies for coastal communities along South America's Atlantic coast.
