Abstract

How are vulnerable people living in peri-urban areas coping with water-related impacts of climate change? Bernadette Resurreccion of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) explains that low-income people living in peri-urban areas of Southeast Asia are often exposed to a number of vulnerabilities, which are made worse by flooding and periods of drought. This project is exploring the different short-term coping tactics and longer-term strategies that people are using to adapt to these changes.
