Abstract

With the rapid expansion of China’s aid to Africa, there is a need to re-examine China’s current aid architecture and capacity. The research paper is divided into sections: Section 2 provides an overview of China’s cooperation with developing countries, particularly with those in Africa; Section 3 examines the evolution of China’s foreign aid policy and practice; Section 4 analyzes China’s aid architecture; Section 5 discusses new challenges this architecture is facing in recent years and concludes with some policy recommendations.
