Abstract
Inner-city life can test people’s endurance. When neighbourhoods decline,
human health soon follows. A project in Cuba supported by Canada’s
International Development Research Centre (IDRC) has shown that, in the
struggle to improve community health, the biggest asset may be residents
themselves.
