Abstract
The report covers a synthesis of research activities provided to the Himalayan Environmental Studies & Conservation Organisation (HESCO), summarizing the small millets project, an integrated programme over three years, which aimed to increase productivity and production of locally important food grains by effective application of farmers’ participation, technological intervention and capacity building. The project also aimed at reduction of women farmers’ drudgery, by improvement of processing facilities at the rural level.
