Abstract

The overall goals of the study were to improve adaptation strategies by conducting economic analysis and exploring appropriate technologies, policy, and investment options in two of the most vulnerable regions in China. The presentation shows research design and data and preliminary findings: adaptation measures and determinants; and farmers’ perception on climate change and determinants; as well as a follow-up research plan. Drawn from survey findings, it proposes an econometric model to determine adoption of adaptation measures by farmers, including probability calculations.
