Abstract
The aim is to foster partnerships for integrated research across malaria-endemic regions of Sub-Saharan Africa, emphasizing collaboration, multi-stakeholder engagement, sensitivity to equity, and sustainability. In terms of livelihoods, water management and cultural practices were identified as playing important roles in malaria transmission, acquisition and control. Insecticide resistance was reported as an impending factor in malaria control, especially in West Africa. During the 3-day workshop, the three multi-country teams share results, consolidate learning, and draft recommendations for potential follow-up initiatives.
