Abstract
Migrants’ remittances into the West African region of Nigeria, Ghana and Ivory Coast can now exceed Foreign Direct Investments and official development assistance. The project aimed to play a key role in influencing migration policies in the West African Region. Research strategies that were adopted through the IDRC for this project were innovative and strongly benefitted development of research capacity in the region. The project succeeded in enlarging the network of participating institutions as well as expanding respective networks of individual researchers. Research and evidence-based policy outcomes demonstrated the significance, impact and quality of the project in all three countries.
