Abstract

Research for international tobacco control (RITC) projects reflect the priorities identified during three regional workshops held in Africa, Asia and Latin America during the 1998-1999 period. During the workshops, and through a participatory process, researchers from these regions identified a list of tobacco control research priorities. This paper provides a summary of project activities and findings from RITC research, as well as policy impacts.
