Abstract
In order to assess business sustainability initiatives and whether progress is being made on key economic, environmental, and social goals, indicators need to be developed which can incorporate the specificities of the business. The issue of sustainability must be addressed also by looking at corporate contributions towards sustainability. This study reviews research published in the last two decades which attempts to measure corporate sustainability, and to identify future directions for research in the design, implementation, use, and evolution of its measurement at the corporate level.
