Abstract
The study analyzed the findings of data collected from a survey sample (243) of households in which the husband migrated to work abroad. This two-page brochure provides a synopsis of the project in terms of impacts on family income, decision-making processes, and the well-being of the wife and family left behind. Often the wife assumes new roles outside the domestic domain; she becomes more involved in the decision-making process and in the public sphere.
