Abstract:
The Institute for Migration Studies (IMS) has conducted and analyzed research, released publications, invested in training and software on qualitative research analysis, and hosted conferences and workshops to foster collaboration with other scholars and policy makers. A bibliography is presented along with this report. Some conclusions regarding the significance and scope of the influence of the Lebanese diaspora can be drawn from the final period of the project, where findings have become increasingly politically important; for instance, the Lebanese state enacted new legislation for the 2013 election allowing Lebanese citizens abroad to vote in home-state elections.
