Abstract

The project brings together experienced research teams from four countries (China, Jordan, Nepal, Peru) with a number of international technical and legal experts to contribute to the development and implementation of innovative policies, and laws and related practices for the fair use and management of genetic resources. The focus is on innovations that are grounded in the practices of local and indigenous farming communities, and linked to new configurations (partnerships) of multiple stakeholders interested in supporting these communities. Project activities and outputs are reviewed.
