Abstract
The research findings show a low level of computer and internet penetration in Jamaica, with a low uptake of broadband services. However, the use of mobile phones is high. Government policy needs to integrate ICT into health, education, banking and business-oriented strategies. A reduction in the cost of computers and internet access is necessary. Greater education and awareness programmes are needed.
