Abstract
The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia is in the process of formulating a Poverty
Reduction Strategy Paper and has embarked upon a capacity building exercise to
address the widespread problem of poverty in the country. Ethiopia has decided to seek
appropriate solutions and one of the approaches will be through a holistic community
driven approach entitled Ethio-Forum 2002 (15th January - 4th February 2002). The
Ethiopian Social Rehabilitation and Development Fund (ESRDF) coordinated the Forum.
