Abstract
The paper explores the role of religion and spirituality (Buddhism and Christianity) in the lives of people displaced by violence and conflict on the border lands between Thailand and Burma. Connections to international churches often helped facilitate access to aid. The paper draws from interviews to emphasize other factors of distress in the lives and families of displaced people.
