Abstract
Out of the 20 countries with lowest per capita intake of edible oil, 10 are found in Eastern
and Southern Africa. In Tanzania for example, average per capita intake of edible oil has
been estimated at between 10 and 30 g/day while in Zambia it is estimated at 15 g/day (5.6
