To understand progress on this objective, the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Framework for Strategy 2030 includes periodic Centre-wide RQ+ assessments. The RQ+ 2023 formative evaluation is the first in this cycle. It is expected to provide: 1. Early indications of progress against the strategy, 2. Insights on areas for course correction at the Centre level, and 3. Findings relevant to ongoing programming priorities. There are two main users of the evaluation: 1. For IDRC Management to understand strategy progress for corporate reporting and to inform any necessary course corrections, and for IDRC programs to gain high-level insights on overall research quality in programs and to inform program improvement.Item Global impact study : review(Gamos, Reading, GB, 2011) Batchelor, SimonThis formative evaluation develops recommendations based on lessons that have emerged from the coordination, management, and implementation of various activities within The Global Impact Study of Public Access to Information & Communication Technologies, at the halfway point of its five year mandate. Looking at libraries, telecentres, and cyber-cafés, the Global Impact Study investigates impact in a number of areas, including communication and leisure, culture and language, education, employment and income, governance, and health; to the extent that public use differs from private use, we need to understand these differences, and articulate the mechanisms through which they produce impact.
