End of phase one evaluation: AfricaAdapt

Abstract

The report evaluates the role of the AfricaAdapt Network in knowledge sharing in the context of climate change adaptation. There is demand for AfricaAdapt content and activities. Members value the African origins of the material and the practical nature of the content – they see it as derived from authentic experience. The challenge of climate change in development discourse and practice is to relate country-specific susceptibilities to examples of experiences in adaptation from global scientific and policy sources. As an emerging network, AfricaAdapt needs to become a more dynamic hub, moving beyond the current static website format.
