    TRT case
(São Paulo Law School, Fundação Getúlio Vargas, Rio de Janeiro, BR, 2013) Machado, Maira Rocha
In 1992, the São Paulo Labor Regional Court of the Second Region (TRT-SP)—published the bidding rules for a public contract to build the Court’s new headquarters for its tribunals of first instance in São Paulo. Nearly 20 years later, the Brazilian justice system is still attempting to resolve what has proven to be a notorious public works scandal. This case study tracks corruption over years, jurisdictions, and administrative bodies, towards an outcome that might represent a breakthrough in the Brazilian justice system in dealing with institutionalized political corruption.
