Abstract
“Supermarket-style” government offices are committed to transmitting information to relevant personnel or departments, providing consultative services, and solving problems in a prompt, timely, and collaborative manner. In order to do this, new work policies are being implemented. The paper analyzes public services and services delegated to super-market style administrative offices. These offices are established by the civil government at the grassroots level to handle civilian affairs directly, as well as to provide administrative and community services to the public.
Description
Translator’s note: In the interests of variety and fluency, the term 政务超市 has been variously translated as “supermarket-style government administration”, “supermarket-style government”, “supermarket-style administration”, “supermarket-style government services”, “supermarket-style services” and “supermarket-style offices”. The actual Chinese term encompasses all of these meanings, and these translated terms should all therefore be understood as referring to the same phenomenon.
